Why Shop With Shade Station
Formula 1 heads to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix next weekend, and five-time Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton has been busy honing his design skills. Lewis has partnered with eyewear brand Police to debut a capsule collection of glasses, following a sponsorship agreement with the brand and Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport racing team. De Rigo, the brand manufacturer, said "we are extremely proud of this prestigious collaboration between Police and Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport, the historic Formula 1 team. Our determination to work with Lewis as both brand ambassador and designer presented a unique opportunity to join Police to the sports world once again, and we are proud to be partnering with the strongest team in one of the most popular sports in the world."
Police sunglasses will be worn by the drivers and the rest of the race team whilst the upcoming launch of Lewis Hamilton's eyewear collection is due in September. Mercedes Team Principle stated "it's great to welcome Police to Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport, we're delighted to partner with a brand that embodies high quality and attention to detail - two characteristics which are incredibly important in our sport. This partnership demonstrates the growing interest of lifestyle brands in the team, which underlines the great appeal of Formula 1 as a marketing platform." Lewis Hamilton is renowned for his distinctive eyewear and style accessories, so this is a perfect opportunity to combine sport and style in one collection.
Police has become the official team supplier of Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport, and as a result of this, the Police logo will be visible on both sides of the helmets of drivers Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas as well as in the pit garage, and appearing on the team's marketing activities. Keep an eye out for Police eyewear at the upcoming British Grand Prix!
